After

These frames are a before and after study in rotoscope, learning from Magno's Borgo CmiVFX training. Mocha's ability to provide good mattes for coloring and finishing to different 3rd party softwares is just the tip of the iceberg.

One may think "you could easily color correct it with power masks and hsl keyers", and in fact I could, but hey, what's the point in solving problems always in the same way? Doing what I already know will only put/lead me to the same skills level I already have/am.

The goal is to be always learning and improving.

Travelers

This is an opening sequence for one of our newest products here at Ometz Group called "English for Travelers". This course purpose is to gear up travelers for trip-related situations in English-speaking countries.

The concept of the sequence flirts with the idea of showing a pinboard with plenty of photos from famous places, where being communicatively active in English is essential.

Once more a collaborative effort between us, MindsetFilms, and our in-house agency Yeah!.

Concept Cube

these are a few frames from a concept video we have made here at Mindset Films in conjunction with our in-house agency Yeah!.

R&D Patrol

this is another intro I've done in conjunction with Thiago Matsunaga, from our in-house agency Yeah!.

the show deals with sporadic "patrols" the R&D Dep. will be doing this year at our schools. The point is that this occasional visits won't be as sheriff visits, but something much more fun and informative.

The audio once more was done by Luis Cilho.

these are a few frames from the intro I did recently for our new show called Live Game.

The art and concept came from Thiago Matsgunaga, from our in-house agency Yeah! and my role consisted in planning, scene direction and the production itself.

The audio was made by Luis Cilho.

We actually did it in only one day, since it was a short and fast project.

these are a few frames from an intro that I had to manage to produce in one day (actually from one day to another).

The art and the concept came from Diego Prudêncio, art director at our in-house agency Yeah!, and I had to bring this to life.

The audio was made by Luis Cilho, my team matte at Mindset Films.

Modeling, texturing, rendering and compositing done in 24 hours.

DeltaT Frames

here are a few frames from a one minute film I did last week.

with our RED camera, we shot an actor running in different locations through our city, and in post-production I had to place some fantasy elements that would grew up while he was running. There was a lot of (tedious) rotoscoping work, as well as camera matching, 3d modeling, texturing, lighting and compositing.

It was quite a challenge to finish this on time, doing all the stuff myself, but I was lucky to find some helpful guys on the way.
